Digital Summarizing Session POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE TBC
Event Date:23rd April
Setting the Record Straight, an exciting new project, sponsored by the National Heritage Lottery Fund Wales and the National Assembly for Wales to celebrate 20 years of Devolution, is gathering momentum now.
Of the 60+ women AMs who have or are serving in the National Assembly, by Eastertime the project film-making team will have interviewed a quarter of them. It is our aim to summarise all these interviews and make them available on our website and on the National Screen and Sound Archive website when the project is complete. The interviews are fascinating and they shed a light upon the role of women in the National Assembly’s history. They will form a very important archive which will be of great significance for historians, researchers and the general public.
We need your help to prepare digital summaries of these interview and we will be holding a training session for volunteers on how to do digital summaries:
DATE: THURSDAY APRIL 23rd from 10.00-3.00 at Glamorgan Archives, Clos Parc Morgannwg, Cardiff CF11 8AW (near Cardiff City Stadium).
The training will be delivered by Alison Lloyd Smith as part of the National Library's Unlocking Our Sound Heritage.
All members and volunteers are welcome and you don’t need any previous knowledge or experience. All equipment will be supplied on the day. This will be a bilingual course and and is a unique opportunity to learn a new skilll or improve on existing ones. It is offered FREE to WAW members and volunteers. Places are limited to ten people so early booking is advised.
