Sian Rhiannon Williams
After completing my PhD at Aberystwyth, I was a teacher and radio producer before spending most of my career working with trainee history teachers and research students in the School of Education, Cardiff Metropolitan University. My research is now mainly focused on women’s history but I have also researched the history of the Welsh language and education in Wales. I’m involved with several organisations, editorial boards and initiatives which promote Welsh and women’s history including Llafur, Purple Plaques and the Gender Studies in Wales Series. I’m proud to join the committee of an organisation which is making such a major contribution to uncovering and understanding women’s history in Wales. Originally from Rhymney, I now live in Barry.
