‘CENTURY OF HOPE’

Event Date:24th October

 ‘CENTURY OF HOPE’

During 2018, Women’s Archive of Wales conducted a special project, funded by Heritage Lottery, to celebrate the heritage of the partial enfranchisement of women in Wales in 1918 and to record the early history of Women’s Archive of Wales itself.  The aim was to engage the public by organising 12 events around Wales, for example the Women’s Heritage Walk in Aberystwyth and to record the memories and experiences of founder members of the Archive.

The project was completed successfully, and its archive will be presented for safekeeping to the National Sound and Screen Archive at y Drwm, National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth on November 14th, 2019 at 11.00 a.m.

We will be holding a short talk and showing the bilingual project film. You are cordially invited to attend this free event to help us celebrate the completion of this exciting project.
