Our collections are held in county archive services, the National Library and National Museum of Wales, university archives and other repositories. They range from single items to large collections of documents, photographs, newsletters and other material.
A list of AMC/WAW collections, in many cases with links to the materials, can be accessed here.
Photographs form the chief visual record of women’s lives from the mid-19th century onwards. The Archive has hundreds of photographic images in its collections, many of which were obtained through the HLF-funded projects. Material from the Wales Women’s History Roadshow Project has been uploaded onto the People’s Collection Wales site as have photographs and audio clips from the Voices from the Factory Floor Project.
Women, Wales and War contains images of women in World War I and of War Memorials and Rolls of Honour in which women’s names appear.
