Committee Member and Welsh Language Advisor
A native of Ceredigion, I worked at St Fagans National History Museum before becoming Head of History at Trinity College Carmarthen. Currently I am a freelance writer and editor. I joined WAW in 1998 and have served on project management groups for the Roadshows and for Women in WW1. I was Project Manager for the Voices from the Factory Floor project and authored the book on this topic. I have written several books and articles on aspects of Welsh history, especially for children.
I have worked in a voluntary capacity for several national movements:as President of Merched y Wawr, during which time I directed a major oral history project on women in Wales; National Chair of The Welsh Heritage Schools’ Initiative and ofCronfaGlyndŵr. I serve AMC/WAW as its Welsh-language Advisor.I am married and live in Loughor near Swansea. I have two daughters and five grandsons.
