I was born and brought up in Swansea but moved away to take a degree in Zoology at Southampton University. After leaving university I began my working life as a medical research assistant with BHF.
I later turned to teaching and enjoyed many years in the classroom teaching students aged 16+. I moved into education research and gained a master’s degree in education and a post graduate research qualification with Open University. I have been part of regional, national and international education research projects.
I was recruited by a blue chip multi-national company and worked for 3 years as part of a national education advisory service. For the last 5 years of my working career I was a self-employed education consultant, specialising in data management.
I have lived in several locations across England but when I retired in 2013, I returned to my homeland, and now live near the coast.
